The new Trexxflex outdoor design brand revolutionizes outdoor gear with urban style. Created during the pandemic, Trexxflex aims to make spending time in nature a pleasant experience with its design-focused outdoor products, going beyond mere functionality. Brandpulse handled the entire development process of this innovative outdoor design brand, from product development to its successful US market launch.

During the pandemic, the U.S. outdoor market took off in unforeseen proportions, with people seeking freedom in nature and buying all kinds of gear for that purpose. The corresponding e-commerce sales grew in double digits during the pandemic. A group of innovative entrepreneurs noticed that this equipment had one thing in common: it was functional, but often lacked aesthetic appeal and looked boring. This gave rise to the idea of functional outdoor equipment with the design aspirations of urban millennials.

For this target group of “Design Conscious Outdoor Enthusiasts,” who wear backpacks not only for their newly discovered weekend hikes, but also for going to college or to the co-working space, it’s not just functional values that count. An international target group survey conducted by Brandpulse on social media in the primary target market of the USA and in Europe revealed clear preferences with regard to product design and the look and feel of the prototypes presented. In addition to a clear purpose, the new brand also received a sustainable brand promise. A portion of sales will be donated to “1% for the Planet,” 1% for the Planet represents a global network of businesses, individuals and nonprofit organizations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues.

Brandpulse developed the Trexxflex name, which was trademarked for the U.S., the entire EU region, and Switzerland. Brandpulse developed the Trexxflex branding, the website and created the most important touchpoints such as the international web store, an image film, a social media campaign and, in cooperation with US specialists, an influencer campaign. The first product, the striking Trexxflex backpack with its “Urban Design & Practical Features”, is the stylish “everyday companion” for design-savvy millennials.
