The Challenge
Personal Shop, a well-established European mail order and online retailer, faced an exciting challenge: developing a new brand for electrical household appliances that would stand out in a highly competitive market through design and character. After already successfully developing over 20 product brands, Personal Shop once again trusted Brandpulse’s expertise.

Our Approach
During the analysis phase, it became clear: the household appliance market was dominated by technical specifications and sober functionality. Here, we saw an opportunity to create a bold alternative with Rodh. The brand was meant to bring color and personality into everyday life without compromising on performance and user-friendliness.

The Solution
We developed Rodh as a cheeky, colorful brand that deliberately contrasts with the usual category codes. At the heart of the design is a distinctive color palette that allows customers to perfectly match their appliances to their home furnishings. From kettles and mixers to decorative lighting – each product was designed to be both a functional device and a stylish accessory.

The Result
The new brand proves that household appliances don’t have to be boring. Rodh has successfully established itself as a character-strong alternative in Personal Shop’s premium segment, specifically appealing to design-conscious customers who want to express their personality through their choice of household appliances.
